Well long time no update, wtf has happened to you Legynd!

Well lets see, we have been doing the same ol same ol mostly.

I'v pretty much quit doing Nyzul Isle for a long time, I need a brather from that no dropping piece of shit event, besides all the salvage gear is better and its time to go back to it.

Yes thats right, I'm back into Salvage.

And no, I didnt just join some random LS, OneTwoFlee is a fully fledged endgaming shell now. Im back to leading a LS.

Couldn't stay away from it. I can classify the typical LS leader I'v dealt with into two catagorys.

1: We'll call this the Boko, Completely selfish leaders who break and bend the rules THEY set in place to ensure that their group of 5-6 people are constently geared up first, throwing the scraps to the rest of the LS. Now yea, typically your group of friends started the LS with you, so by any point system you can create, you all will be recieving the first drops, it just happens that way. But when you continue on and on to ensure that all the drops your friends want go to only your friends, thats a problem, why would anyone want to stay in a LS where they only get gear once every 2 months, But hey, people do it all the time.

2 : We'll call this one the Hiyubayu. Complete, and total morons, with complete and total moronic friends. These are people who see people like the Boko type and go, Hey thats a great idea, lets do it. BUT heres the diffirence, they dont have the skill, or jobs to do it themselves. No they need to recruite people, to run things for them. This si the leader that will show up to a event and not handle any problems that arise, drama, they push under the rug. And the events, they wont actually lead, they walk in with the Linkshell all proud that their running a LS, and let someone else lead their runs for them. Then even though people are running their events for them, they'll insist on letting the gear go to, once again their friends completly ignoring their own rules.

I cant stand either one of these idiots. Back when I ran Novus, was had a fair system that completely followed the rules, myself included, its why it took me so long to get geared properly.

So it must be my destiny to lead a LS, because within a week we had about 20 members all geared properly, all listening closesly, and all chiming in with their own advice, and we all are having a great time.
Taken out Jailers Justice, Prudence, Faith, Fortitude, All the Ix's, and almost at our first Omega, that I dont doubt we'll win.

See we even have our own crazy plans!

Outside of this, lets see, we've done Genbu, nothing worth it, and a few assaults...

So, not too much has happened, which of course equals not many pictures lol. If your a weirdo who not only follows my lame blog, but my wives then you know that we have started our own Linkshell, OneTwoFlee. Just cant stop myself from leading can I...lol.

We decided that we wanted to get back into Sea farming, but not very many people know the low manning methods. So what did I have to do? Make a Linkshell with my own personal brand of requirements to get in. Their not to strict this time around, just have two 75 jobs, and make sure they fall into the classes like Tank/Mage, Mage/Melee, or Melee/Tank. Want some versital players this time. Just starting with some basic events for us, Sea and Salvage and so far, got some good friends and players from it. We took down two fortitudes and a two ix' mnks so far.

Lets see outside of that been killing time doing nothing really, working on goldsmithing again, as of the time of writing this its at 71.6. Once I hit money gonna be saving for my Morrigans finally. Oh also completed Silverflames nyzul isle climb finally, now he has 100 and can stop his bitching. Time for assaults!

So lets talk about ranting, shall we? What do we have on the plate today? Maybe you can guess from that title line. I'd like to know at what point have you paid your dues? This has been a ongoing problem in this community since the dawn of the game. Now dont get me wrong, theres a few people who join for fun with friends, but not many, most people will joina Linkshell with gear in mind. Lets take a prime example. You join a Sky linkshell aiming for some W legs and Haidate. This Linkshell works on a point system, you grind away on these points til you have enough and beat the members, spending months on it, and finally get yourself the items you wanted.

Now your done in sky right?

Wrong?

Most linkshells look at it as they own your soul. There is no ending your time with them, no matter if you need gear or not. They seem to look at it like, we gave you gear we own your soul, you cant leave. Most will even take offense if after all this grinding and showing up for every run, you decide to take a day off of sky for rea life or something.

Now shouldnt your dues to this linkshell be that you got the points to spend on your item so your done? Now keep in mind, Im discussing single event Linkshells, or linkshells that treat their point systems diffirent for each event. All those all inclusive linkshells, like the one I ran, ya thats part of what you sign up for, you do whatever they want.

So at what point have you paid your dues and are free to leave without enemys? Are you expected to run wiht this linkshell with no motivation or gear to aquire til they break now?

I always wondered this, because 99% of linkshells get all butt hurt if you come to them and say something like.

" Hey I'll continue to help you guys out, but I dont need anything here anymore, Im gonna move on to a diffirent event."

Now go ahead, throw the arguement that the Linkshell holder and sacholders dont need gear and come to help. Thats THEIR choice, no one held a gun to their head and said

"Either you lead this shit or I shoot you."

If they enjoy leading, then more power to them, if they get all their gear and want to step down, why cant they just find someone else to lead? Why are leaders stuck til the end of time with this one event. Personally I just enjoy leading, I dont even need much gear anymore, but I know alot fo people who make Linkshells, then get what they want and screw out, why cant you do this right? Like give the LS a month to get on its own feet or something, everyone thinks they have to be shifty about everything!

Same rules apply to dynamis, I dont care who the fuck you are, no one likes dynamis and no one ever will, Its a lagfest thats more confusing then trying to explain lamps to a bunch of nyzul newbs. If you go through dynamis and get your pimp ass gear for your jobs and dont need anything else, At what point are you allowed to leave?

Obviously the Linkshell if giving you this to not only improve your character, but to improve their linkshell, but am I bound til I quit the game if I get something?

I believe in earning your points getting the item and giving the linkshell some time, but when is it enough where ou can leave on good terms.

So basically, heres my soul for a Duelist Chapaeu... thats what Im saying.

Sorry for the delay in this post, been working hardcore to try and complete Blue Mage for you all to look at and weep! But along the way, I got to thinking... Why am I leveling BLU? We'll go into my normal rant soon, but lets begin with that run down of coooool shit.Well, first got this damn bird again, trying to help Nirrian get his trotters. Didn't get it on this particular bird fight, but he did get it the next day.

We got Silverflame, Beo, and Meni to floor 70 finally, only need to stop picking up people that run from erase when they have a 50 tick Bio on, Yes this is Qwik dead in WG.

Went up to help out Dysfunction on Kirin again...This might be the last one I do with them. Nothing against their skill, but we got a bad chain of mini gods that raped the god alliance and ended up wiping to Kirin, I mean we got Byakko, and then at 75% on him, we got the Bird, so ya it was a big fuck you from Kirin. Then I spent 14k of my XP to zombie the damn thing for them while they recovered. In the end we beat it, dropped some W legs that apparently Silver got on some weird agreement. Just comes down to, losing 14k for something I'm just here to help out on, kind of leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth, one I'm not a fan of re tasting.

YES YOUR EYES DO NOT DECEIVE YOU THAT'S A DOUBLE HAGUN DROP.

Yes after months of doing this ENM every 5-6 days we possibly can, we got ourselves a 4th person and a mythical double hagun drop. Talked it out with Silver and Aedyn and the agreeing to dump allot of these winnings into my Goldsmithing, hopefully get near the end of Gold hell and be a sheer profit making goldsmither finally...

So yes, I have finally achieved 75 Blue Mage. To make the pot even sweeter I also got myself 104/105 Blue Magic Spells(Missing Spinal Cleave, not a hard one, just no luck.) But looking back at this last 2 months of blitzing BLU, I think about it, why did I bother?

Think about it, Square released some key jobs that are just NEEDED for endgame, primarily jobs like PLD and NIN, both fall into a tank category, both are needed endgame. RDM BRD COR all fall into a support catagory, all needed. WHM SCH, those would be your primary healers, both required to be a successful endgame shell. Then your, what I call, Double tier DD. This is jobs like DRK, DRG, SAM. DRG has Angon, you want that, DRK is a stunner that probaly wont burn his MP on nukes, you need that, and SAM well, SAM would be your solid constant DD. Lastly we have BLM, the nuker, the blow shit up cause its funny guy, once again, needed in endgame. Now look back at what I read, yes I left out quite a few jobs, namely, THF BLU BST DNC MNK RNG WAR PUP. Why are they here?

Now before you all go and blow my head off, yes they were all added in to create a even playing field. But I ask you, when was the last time you as a LS leader looked to your guys and said, Ya know, we need a BST in this LS. And if you want to tell me, Well of course not, BST is solo, lets get more realistic, look at your ls and ask, Do we need a War? Now Yes, thf has a purpose, stick your TH and your feint, but who the fuck wants to be a thf JUST to do that.

What I'm trying to get at is, I just spent 2 months going crazy, learning every spell, making sure I had my 75 gear ready to ding into, getting my Nyzul Weapon so I can start it, and for what? If there a LS out there that will say, Hey your a 3/5 homam BLU with 104/105 spells! OMG WE NEED YOU. Tell me the last time a LS recruited something like a RNG, or BLU, or MNK, or WAR, Strictly because of that job. No you typically get recruited for your OTHER 75's and once in awhile go, Oh ya I'm a BLU also.

So why did I even bother? Where do I use it?

And on a side note of "Well you leveled RDM, BRD, COR of course you wont get to be a BLU." Last time I checked we all play this game for fun, and I'd like to not always be stuck the same job either, why am I collecting BLU gear if I'm always your RDM, Defiantly not to solo Imps better. Just a defense on that case in point.

Maybe I should have done what allot of newbies do and not even level a useful job. Then I get into a LS claiming I only have BLU and get in just as a body to fill their numbers....Maybe

Oh and here's my FAVORITE ARGUMENT. "Needs of the Linkshell over Your wants." Well here's my reply to that. FUCK YOU. This isn't a job, I'm not forced to play. if you wont let me come what I want, because ya know, allot of us 6 year brds are just plain sick of doing it, I can just log off. And it really jerks my chicken when your asked to come that job you cant stand anymore, So someone else can play a more fun job. Fuck your needs of the LS, Just because I leveled some retards job 6 years ago does not mean Im still willing to play it 24/7.

Just something to ponder while the next pup levels their one and only job...Pup.

OH and expect another post soon, gonna have 105/105 once I get some free time...maybe then my blu can be recruited.

Well lets begin by saying, I broke my nose. Yep at the rifle range to qualify for my job, in -13 degree weather with 20 mile an hour winds. Apparently I smashed my nose and broke it. I'm awesome aren't I?

So lets go down the accomplishments...

Was fooling around trying to spawn ose and got this guy, Hellion. Got all excited til I realized his scythe is 100% ; ;

Did the usual ENMs, got NOTHING like normal.

Broke this record which is pretty pimp, also did Sheep in Antlions Clothing, junk once again

and that's it for the normal ENM info...

Hmmm I got Smithing to 19 see look picture, ooo pretty.

So what next huh, oh Silverflame finally caught up to the rest of us.

Oh tried out Kraken Club BCNM which puts me at 0/49 Attempts at it, I don't think I'm ever going to see the drop happen ; ;

So I really dont know what is better, showing you have the skill, friends, ability and time to burn to camp LoO Out claiming bots, out claiming unlucky newbies. Followed by killing a rather difficult monster and then after months and months of trial, walking away with a 80 million dollar prize. Or being a level 60 newb who picks out a BCNM because its fun and getting a kraken they cant use , nor even know how its used. While people such as myself who are entirely geared for a Zerg on their DRK waiting on a new zerg weapon (since I sold my Merc kris) and trying 0/49 times. There should be more then one way to get this weapon, because seriously. doing a joke of a BCNM over and over trying for a .5% drop rate is getting old.... fast. Would be nice if they'd at least have kept it in the original NM, or placed it into more difficult bcnms but with a better drop rate. Something.... Anything....

CONGRATS TO SILVERFLAME!

Three years or some odd amount of time, he completes his black belt... now he goes MNK to everything... god make him stop.

Lastly in our adventures we got ourselves a Simurgh claim in a attempt to get some movement speed on Estephan. Everything was going fine for our 4 man kill, except at the last second E tried some greed shit and the Thief we picked up to TH it stopped DPSing, so we got it to 2% and it raged... And I couldn't hit it for shit anymore... Oh well E learned a lesson from this.

But what I'd like to know is why does something like this cause 12 year old girls to call you names? We got wiped out at 1%(we managed to deal one Weapon skill at 2% but it resisted Absorb TP and I couldn't get a second one off to kill) Some other boneheads got the claim and kill and of course this made E pissed. Nothing new there, if you lose claim on something like this the mob will be stolen and its over and the guy who was up for the drop is of course going to be pissy. But why did this cause the person who took the claim to go all 12 year girl on me? I got RRed up, warped out didn't say a word. Then I'm being told that this gimpy gear nin was calling me a retard Dark Knight. Why? What did I do to them you ask? Nothing, didnt say anything to them, didn't taunt them, didn't do anything, as a matter of fact they didn't know this but I agreed that they got the kill fairly because the only reason we lost was E trying to pull a fast one. Figured good lesson for him to learn. But this person apparently d in a attempt to piss off E called me a retard drk. Then when I confronted them proceeded to break their argument down to Your a shit drk, stop crying. Last time I checked, in a PLD DRK THF RDM team up for a NM, Drk deals the most damage, and I managed to bring that fucker down from 100% to 1% with stealing hate from Silver all the time(He came in at about 85% so I was already wearing Enmity gear and spamming to keep hate off E) So at what point do you steal a claim from someone, then pick on the people who left without saying a word. If E wants to argue, then argue with E, why bring in the silent people.

I've thought this out and figured it out, some people are just 12 year old girls. They enjoy egging other people on to get a reaction, no reason in particular, they just like gossip and drama. They thrive on it, they live for it, they breathe, and they can shove it up their ass for all I care. I play for fun, I avoid drama and shady shit.

Easiest way to get back at someone trying to egg you on, say your peace and shut up, just ignore them. Square put in a Blacklist for a reason. If you just argue endlessly with them, then your just another 12 year old girl.

Well here we are, keeping busy on Remora. That right there is Silverflame finally truly showing his fruity nature and leveling DNC. We were out here to TRY and trio with him, but completely killed his XP.

So how did we level? Why in good ol fashioned Colibri parties, which thanks to the advent of Level Sync you find yourself stuck in til 75. Aedyn tried to come up with some lame excuset o get OUT of xping too...

Although maybe this guy had the better idea...

We've all been keeping kind of busy with various little events and NMs. While Silverflame has been camping Aspi in hopes someone will sell him the egg to complete his Black Belt, I'v been running around learning some spells, found this little lady bug while hunting Spiral Spin and managed to get myself a drop ^^. Now I dont understand this item, ya something to remove Amnesia is awesome, but a Five minute recast? What was Square smoking, think about it, if you use this on a imp merit party you can remove on Amnesia every 3rd or 4th mob, keep in mind these mobs like to use that Amnesia horn spell about 5 times a fight. So removing it once every 5 minutes is just a waste. The same rule applies to any other Amnesia casting mob, they enjoy spamming, and why wouldnt they if I could stop some 2k weaponskill I would. (((Note to SE, please give BLU a Amnesia spell))). There is only one practical use I can find for this item and thats for use in Nyzul Isle when you get that Qiqirn boss, he'll normaly use Amnesia once a fight, now this ring makes SENSE for that. But nope, every imp party I get everyone goes to their moghouse and drags out this ring, and then proceeds to dump 50k in the toilet as they pop it every 5 minutes. Ingenius guys, seriously.

Also campaigned enough recently to get this, I was told its a good piece for Blue Mage.

But honestly I cant find much better other then Dusk and Homam.

Aedyn also got a couple of things she's been after now that she broke into endgame...Lucky girl.
And Silverflame got... a major headache from camping Aspi without a LS trying to buy. He had one LS willing to sell to him, had him waiting for the two and a half hours for the thing so spawn, then once it did told him they gave it to a member. Talk about pain in the ass...

So, Remora lost the Astral Candy to the Undead, shocker there, its always the undead. This of course lead to a series of shouts in Whitegate like. " Lets go get the Astral Candecense! 13/18" And my personal favorite "We're off to get it now guys, wish us luck!" What did people want, a going away party? Oh yes! Thank you mr random guy who was bored! Thank you so god damned much, YOU can lose your XP while I sit here and attempt to xp in some shitty 5 year odl camps at 3k an hour! We ALL get to have fun! In case your dense, I didnt exactly have the grandest of times sitting around whitegate while it took the server about a week to retrieve this thing. Went from one level a day, to maybe 10k a day. Something about having to work to get to a camp again seems to make people shit a brick and run into a wall. I had so many partys form up and the leader go. " Oh no runic portals, disbanding party." Have people forgotten how to walk? This one is even worse though, we'd form the party, walk the hour+ to the camp, party for 30 minutes and spoiled people who are used to a sanction xp bonus say. "Sorry guys, something came up." and proceed to go back to seeking leaving you 5/6 in a camp a hour from town. Some times this game is just irritating...

Thank you gods are SE for inventing Campaign Battle for just when this shit happens. But why cant I tell what Im fighting?
That hulking mass of pixels in the middle is supposed to be Shadowfang... I think... Maybe its just the Square running out of ideas and literally making me fight pixels now.

Oh Also to killtime waiting for those shitty ass partys, I decided to spend some time on a imporatn Goldsmithing sub that I'v neglected forever.

Lastly for this chapter of the traveling salesmen(((Or Immortal pirate, whatever works >.>))) We had some adventures in Dynamis Bastok, pretty uneventful, Aedyn got those pants, I didnt see my COR boots drop, but I did have a little fun with our leader.

And I would like to end this chapter by declaring the statement.

Vacations are a Beautiful Thing

Well my two week vacation from work is over and Im back now. Gonna suck going back to the military, Five am wake ups to go work out followed by a long day in which I cant get off til about three pm. But ya know what, was a nice two weeks completely off, lets go down the list of things we did.

Lets see, it all began on this server at the start of my vacation, got to know some nice people on remora already and already have drama following me, but can you truly escape it ever?
We got to the server and the first thing we did was go looking for a Dynamis Linkshell. We found The Secret Society, website looked well made and they seemed to know what they were doing with a schedule of citys, ice, and dreamland. Got a little excited about it, but apparently the leadership wasnt around. So the people who were there decided to post up a cross server application on us. Not too big a deal, silver got flamed by a guy who was apparently a known dick on Cait Sith. Only problem that began was some guy I dont even know from Fenrir posted that I split with drops from my LS. Now I can tell you for a fact this isnt true, when Novus disbanded I passed out the bank and a series of pops to the sack holders and took a few sea pops with me. Didnt think this would be much of a issue because the guy who said this didnt even go in depth.

This was a problem for TSS apparently. I began to get tells about where did I get my sea pops, you see I had been shouting to sell them since we hit Remora, just like I did on Cait Sith, Third Virtues arent exactly huge sellers. Anyway, I had been shouting and one of their members saw it, and from what I was told by their sack holders this started a discussion about if I was trustworthy or not. In the end the leader decided to give me a shot, but I turned them down, I left Fenrir to avoid drama, I wasnt about to get into a LS where I was already gonna be under a bad impression with its members. Luckily Aedyn and Silverflame agreed with me and the other offer we got had better hours.
We ended up joining up with Dysfunction, a LS who has been running dynamis for about 3 months they said, and has completed a full city and ice cycle. Not exactly the all xarc ls we wanted, but hey they seem like friendly guys, plus within the LS they also run Sky and Limbus.

Dont need much sky personally anymore, but wifey needs some haidate, and I defiently could use homam feet to complete my haste build. Gonna have our first Dynamis run with them tonight, so hopefully it goes well.

So what the hell did I do with two weeks off and no events to attend? Omg did I level, within two weeks I managed to get Blue Mage from 20-70, while Aedyn leveled Ninja with me the whole time. Decided to level it since I already had the homam pants, fort torque and w legs. Theres something oddly satisfying about leveling a job near finish that fast. The kicker is with all that leveling, I managed to learn most of the spells up to 63. Heres a screenshot of some spells that took me about 6 hours to learn with help.

Thx to Saxx, Men, and Gem for the help on these, I'd thank the 62 Blu who also came, but Im still mad he managed to learn those spells about 4 hours faster then I did.

Aedyn and I also managed to somehow duo Ungur to get her a Ungur Boomerang for her nin, now THAT was a fun DOT kite, damn thing gets FAST when he wants to

Gotta say, Level syncing mad it so much easier to level. But the problem is it brings us a whole new batch of newbies. Most of us old comers to FFXI know that yiou must maintain your equipment and skills to your current level, even if your being constantly synced to a lower level. Thats why you find everyone in besieged and campaign battle skilling up (Yes I know you cant skill in campaign battle, but fun fact, try it without tags on claimed mobs ^^) Well new comers to the game who are enjoying the new level syncing feature arent keeping up these skills. You know theres problems when you invite a warrior to Crawlers Nest to party and they have all level 20 gear and think their gonna rock. I spent 30 minutes explaining to this person why you must maintain your gear and skills only to find out this is their first party outside of Qufim Island

Last thing we ended up making on Remora is we have remade out Nyzul Isle group so that we can get Silverflame his floor 100 and he can stop whining about wanting atonement. Made it to floor 10 on the first run, got myself the last weapon I'm ever going to need here

This will make RDM DRK COR weapons completed, and BLU BRD and THF on the chopping block ready to go.

The begining, all over again...

So I've moved to Remora, and I decided to not join one of the bigger endgame HNMLS, but to now spend time doing what the wifey does, which is basically start endgame over again with a smaller LS.

But hold on, your probably wondering who the hell is this guy and why should I care!!

Guess I should start from the beginning, See I'm originally from Fenrir, was running a HNMLS, wasn't the greatest in the world, but hey we didnt suck, intially...No I somehow managed to turn my little limbus LS into a large scale go for everything LS, only to have it crumble when my core group went crazy with power. Started with one guy decided he wanted to lot W Legs over everyone who didn't have them so he could have it HQed, as you can imagine this caused allot of fighting, followed by another member going nuts and arguing and bringing peoples real lives into the fights.A few more retarded arguments later and stupid shit and it ends with one of my long time friends hacking my account and trying to jack all of my gear, GMing myself, and having to get a a lawyer involved with SE to retrieve my character.

Once that whole thing was over, well, there was no real good friends left in my LS. Only the newbies we picked up to fill in holes, I left the bank with my sacs, and a bunch of pops(took some for myself to make some profit) and left.

Well the story doesn't end there, I ended up on Cait Sith with my wife(Aedyn/Mithra), with the plan to work together in a LS to get her gear. As soon as we got to Cait Sith we got poached up by a endgame shell, they did everything, and had a paranoid jackass for a leader. This story ends with me not working with my wife at all and spending my time with this LS, til I realized how bad the leadership was.

So 3 months later, Im on Remora, trying again. Had a friend come over with my from Caith Sith though, Silverflame. Gotta say so far I like this server the most, has a ALIVE feeling to it!

Havent done much since being here except get to know the people and level my Blue Mage, but I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about being a server transfer starting from scratch all over again, in a basic endgame LS trying to work at it with my wife, and new friend.
